CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) - A court has purchased a psychological assessment for a southwest Missouri real estate agent implicated of attempting to work with a hitman to kill her previous mother-in-law. Prosecutors say Leigh Ann Bauman, 43, of Lake Ozark, thought her previous mother-in-law was hindering her relationship with her children and accepted pay $1,500 to have her eliminated and make the death "appear like a mishap." According to a probable cause declaration, Bauman informed the witness her ex-mother-in-law was the reason there was a strain in Bauman's relationship with her daughter. Court documents say Bauman believed her ex-husband and ex-mother-in-law were going to take Bauman to court for complete custody of the kids.
